Veggie Tempura

Ingredients
  

  • 1 orange yam
  • 1 purple yam
  • 8 green beans
  • 1 zucchini
  • ½ cup flour (Dry)

Tempura batter

  • ½ cup flour (Wet)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 ice cube
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Oil

  • 1 cup sesame oil

Instructions
 

  • Peel veggies skin if needed.

  • Cut veggies

  • About ¼ ~ ½ inch thickness (I cut the sticks to use for making sushi rolls. But any shape is okay)

  • Make sure to cut the veggies are a little bit damp and put flour (dry) on Veggies.

  • Put flour all over the veggies.

Deep fry - Oil

  • Put oil into the pan or pot. make sure the veggies are completely coverd by oil.

  • Medium heart 340F

Deep fry - Batter

  • Put ½ cup of flour into the bowl.

  • Add ¼ tsp salt.

  • Add 1 tsp sesame seeds.

  • Add one ice cube into the bowl.

  • Add ¼ cup of water.

  • Dip veggies into batter

  • Veggies and the dip in batter.

  • Deep fry 340F about 3 minutes.

  • Put on cooking sheet.

Notes

Tip  Ice cube in your batter!!!
